Artists and Professors John and Grete McNorton founded DRAWinternational, a research and experimentation centre for the practice of drawing around art and design. Designed for the development and promotion of contemporary creation in teaching and professional practice, this place is located at 8 rue du château, as well as 1 street of the former gendarmerie, Caylus. Each year, the center hosts international artists in residence for one to three months. At the end of their residency, artists open their workshops to the public, discuss new starting points, and develop ideas and processes. These cultural exchanges are reinforced by exhibitions, presentations, artistic workshops and performances. Apart from these events visits / meetings with artists are possible by appointment. DRAWinternational in association with ArtHouseCaylus develops a community garden 'lesjardins du Paradis' for artistic creation and events around the garden. The design and manufacture of some structures will be developed with the help of FabLab Origami in Caylus, www.lab-origami.fr
