Caylus
In the heart of the Causses, the medieval town of Caylus is a real surprise. Enter the old town center and stroll through the narrow streets to discover the history of this village.
Caylus grew up around a castle, the Castrum de Caylus, which has now partly disappeared. An ancient medieval trading town, Caylus has preserved not only its rich medieval residences, but also its traditional crafts and skills, as evidenced by the presence of two potters. The village is renowned throughout the region for its famous potters' market, held every year in mid-August.
