Embark on a journey through time to discover the special destiny of a Cistercian abbey, nestling at the bottom of a small valley, which has become the setting for a fabulous art collection! The church, with its chapter house, was built in the 13th century. The abbey residence now houses part of the rich collection of contemporary art from the 1940s to the 1970s, bequeathed with the abbey by Geneviève Bonnefoi and Pierre Brache. The collection includes works by
such as Dubuffet, Michaux and Hantaï. The garden invites you to relax and stroll around.
DID YOU KNOW?
During the French Revolution, the abbey was converted into a farm until it was bought back in 1960.
