Detailed description: Édith Bruic was born in Bordeaux in 1966. She began studying visual arts in 1986 at the University of Bordeaux and the Beaux-arts de Bordeaux, before graduating from the University of Aix-en-Provence.
Since 1985, she has taken part in group exhibitions and proposed solo exhibitions in France and abroad, contemporary art biennials, costume designs and body painting (happenings) for dance companies and shows, mural designs for private individuals and public places, theatre and dance sets.
In 1999, she was a member of the "Rencontre formes et couleurs" selection panel in Lacanau (33).
Since 2000, the artist has been experimenting with colour and materials using personal techniques (making colour with natural pigments and collage techniques) and themes inherent in the encounters and different landscapes she has crossed. She has created the concept of "Rand'Art", which is a reinterpretation of traces and imprints. In the midst of nature, she collects natural elements and traces, providing a pretext for creative subjects.
She is also experimenting with paper-mâché and collage techniques, which Edith calls "Recycl'Art" (recycling food and natural waste and reinvesting it in artistic creation).

"From drawing to poem, from poem to painting, from food waste revisited as artistic food, from perishable to perennial, from collage to recovery...
Giving meaning, essential essences, cerebral, sensory, emotional.
A work without a frame, everything can run away...framed, everything is contained...Running away in the content, the continuity...from one concept to another...without ever stopping.
Experimenting, finding new destinations, re-destining... giving a new nature, a new destiny... giving shape to the décor, the traces, the stories...
An aestheticisation... a hymn to life... sordid and magnificent.
A tenacious struggle that leaves room for what escapes, for accidents...
Above all, let the mask, in the long run, not become a face.
Letting it mature, grow old, lose its way... in a dignified and reserved way... raising what is low.
A sum of work, of wanderings, of discoveries, of attempts, of research... constantly renewed.
But there is one constant: the colour of things.
