The Herberie

On the Causse, close to the owners' house, this Quercy cottage sleeps 8 (4 adults, 4 children), has a terrace and a garden. Open from March to November. "L'Herberie" sleeps 8. A traditional Quercy house, entirely renovated using ecological materials. Here you are on the plateau of the Causses du Quercy, with its very special vegetation, alternating between juniper moorland, grassy and rocky lawns, punctuated by oak, maple and other species. The flora and fauna are full of surprises. The village of Saint Antonin is 6km away. There are many outdoor activities on offer (canoeing, climbing....), and an open-air swimming pool is open from June to September. The village is very lively, with its terraces, restaurants, market and craft shops. Numerous hiking and mountain-biking trails start very close to the gîte. You enter the house by the stone staircase that leads to the balet, a shady, convivial terrace where you can also enjoy your meals with a view over the plateau. The living room is spacious, with a lounge and a well-equipped open-plan kitchen. An internal staircase leads to the three bedrooms on the garden level. Two double bedrooms each open onto the outside and one bedroom with 4 single beds. There are two shower rooms with Italian showers and a separate toilet. There is 1000m² of land around the house where you can relax in the shade of the trees. Waste water is treated by phyto-epuration, dry WC by integrated composting, electricity comes from solar collectors and Enercoop and a wood pellet boiler provides heating and hot water. The owners' house is close by, and the landscaped grounds ensure privacy. Fully-equipped kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave on request, hoover, TV, hi-fi system, central heating and wood-burning stove, children's chairs if required, barbecue, garden furniture, board games, nature library.
