In the heart of this land of history, with its rare wealth of heritage and environmental assets, you'll find a wide range of activities for all adventurers. Mountain biking, cycling, climbing, hiking, caving, canoeing and swimming (and much more besides...), not to mention guided tours of our characterful villages (Saint Antonin, Caylus, Laguépie, among others...), there's something for everyone.
In these areas irrigated by numerous rivers and streams, where the landscapes invite you to daydream, we invite you to contemplate the daily spectacle of unspoilt nature. Numerous sites of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest, Natura 2000 and Espaces Naturels Sensibles, abound with protected species to be observed with discretion... and natural habitats to be protected.

The confluence of the Viaur and Aveyron rivers, at the crossroads of the ancient provinces of Rouergue and Albigeois, creates a landscape with multiple influences, from the fairly open Aveyron valley at Varen, to the vast wooded slopes that frame the two rivers until they join at Laguépie.

Marking the boundary between the limestone plateaux of the Causses and the agricultural hills of Rouergue, the Bonnette flows through a beautifully preserved natural setting. Populated by numerous mills and carpeted with meadows, it offers an idyllic setting for walks, with numerous viewpoints to discover.
