Popular with nature lovers, walkers, writers and those involved in the healing arts. Five writers have written their books in the Jardin de l'Alchimie and many artists have come here to paint. The ideal place for a writers' retreat.
The property is situated in the heart of the Tarn-et-Garonne countryside in south-west France, just 90 minutes from Toulouse airport. It is a 15-minute drive from the medieval town of St Antonin Noble and the spectacular Aveyron river and gorge. Unfortunately we are unable to provide transport. The best way to get there is by private car.
Rana believes that there is an artist in all of us just waiting for the right opportunity to emerge. Ideal for beginners, those who have always wanted to paint and be creative but have never found the time... or who believe they cannot paint and lack confidence in their artistic abilities.
The grounds immediately surrounding the house and pool have been sensitively landscaped with shrubs, flower beds, rock features and gardens. Wild deer often visit here and 35 different species of butterfly and moth have been spotted on the lavender bushes. Lizards, dragonflies, frogs, toads, bats, giant butterflies and praying mantises are just some of the visitors who live here permanently.
