Chestnut FestivalThe traditional chestnut fair on the last Sunday in October takes place on 27 October 2024! Autumn is here and with it comes its most beautiful event in Laguépie: the Chestnut Fair. For over 20 years now, this charming little village has been decked out in all its finery for this festive, gastronomic and educational programme. All day long, come and hike, discover, taste, enjoy or simply stroll through Laguépie. Giant chestnut roast (1.3 tonnes), Apple juice pressed on site (3.4 tonnes), Crêpes made with chestnut flour (100L), Sale of by-products (liqueur, flour, madeleine, etc.) at the stand of the organising association "De bogues en châtaignes", 2 walks (7 and 14 kms) (Registration fee €6/person - from 8am - maximum departure 10am), Numerous exhibitors showcasing their refined and varied local know-how, Numerous exhibitions and demonstrations (grafting, varieties of apple trees, pear trees, chestnut trees, walnut trees, etc.), Giant free wooden games, including Accro Pitchouns, an aerial course for 2-10 year-olds. The Rétro Véhicule du Rouergue workshop will be open all day.
