"Dialogo" by Ensemble Talisman

Detailed description: Presentation This year, the Festival de Caylus and the Festival de l'abbaye de Beaulieu are joining forces to bring you this new creation. For this third creation by the Xanadù association, take a trip into a musical dream called DIALOGO! "DIALOGO is a waking dream that explores the notion of dialogue, exchange and the sharing of knowledge. Like a metaphor for the present day, and taking Galileo's abjuration as its starting point, DIALOGO builds a dialogue with the world of today, DIALOGO builds a dialogue between cultures, a dialogue between religions, a dialogue between bodies, a dialogue between beliefs, a dialogue between civilisations through the power and art of extraordinary artists. DIALOGO is also a sonic echo of our times, a dialogue between movement and immobility that gives us a totally different understanding of the same event, the same feeling, the same word. DIALOGO will question the place of MEN and WOMEN in our world in the same way as WAR and PEACE, embodied on stage through the virtuoso voice of a violin, the music of words through a narrator and the intoxicating music of the dazzling bodies of a contortionist and a dancer, mobile and immobile. [...] DIALOGO plunges us into a dialogue between East and West, a world [...] DIALOGO plunges us into a dialogue between East and West, a world where the turmoil embodied in life leads us to enter into a dialogue with the 'other' and ultimately with ourselves, bringing us face to face with our uncertainties, our fears and our archaisms."
