Two works from the museum's collection can be discovered in the basement, in the "Côté Jardin" rooms.

Every year, the museum promotes its collections and uses a unifying theme to exhibit works from the collection. After "Free Expression", "In Black & White" and "Recent Donations", this year's theme is colour.
Through the many exhibitions of contemporary artists held at the museum over the years, it has built up a collection of contemporary works (donated by artists to the museum collection).
This exhibition features works by : Françoise de St Martin Beyrie, Elke Daemmrich, Sylvain Meschia, Caterina Fusco, Alain Ballereau, Sylvie Delarse, André Mimiague, Gro Fraas, Gilles Jauneau, Alain Marc, Jacqueline Black, Anne Goujaud, Jacques Trouvé, Nadine Vivier... as well as works from the André Verdet donation: Fernand Léger, Gérard Fromanger and Aline Gagnaire.
