Féneyrols, formerly Fénayrols-les-Bains, is a commune on the border of three départements: Tarn-et-Garonne, Aveyron and Tarn. It covers almost 1500 hours and is located along the D115, the road leading to Montauban, Villefranche-de-Rouergue and Albi. In the past, Féneyrols was famous for its three mineral springs, which were associated with the spa industry. All that remains today are the buildings, in particular the old thermal baths on the right bank of the Aveyron river, and around two hectares of parkland at the end of which is a hotel restaurant with a terrace.
Féneyrols has three churches: the church of Saint-Jean Baptiste des Camps, a square-roofed building facing north-east that stands almost a kilometre from the village on the banks of the Aveyron, the church of Sainte-Marie (Saint-Clair) de Quergoalle and the church of Carrendier.
A chapel of Sainte Bernadette in the heart of the village completes this religious heritage.
Alongside these buildings, upstream of the metal suspension bridge, stands the château formerly known as Capdhuel, once a fortified residence and now privately owned.
Today, Féneyrols is a popular tourist destination in the summer, with water sports on the River Aveyron and traditional fishing.
