Detailed description: Claux de Bouscou is surrounded by a large lawned garden which boasts a beautiful 14m x 5m heated swimming pool with a 5m x 3m paddling pool ideal for babies and toddlers, only 30cm deep. There's a poolside table tennis table and plenty of space to play football, badminton and boules, or spread out a picnic in the orchard, find a quiet spot in the walled gardens of the Grain Store and Bread Oven, or take a nap in the hammock, slung between the chestnut trees or in the Apple daybed which rotates to chase or avoid the sun. From the pool and outdoor terraces, there are panoramic views over the surrounding fields to the foothills of the Pyrenees, and as night falls, children will be eager to toast marshmallows around the fire pit, sizzle Toulouse sausages and watch the shooting stars snuggled up in a blanket.
The living spaces
The large, high-ceilinged lounge is a cosy place to gather, with its Loaf upholstery, Invicta wood-burning stove, underfloor reversible heating/cooling and 60-inch widescreen TV with UK satellite channels and surround sound, plus there's a 4m long dining table for family meals. Just off the lounge is a children's playroom, full of toys, games, books, fancy dress and soft toys, plus a second TV with separate access to satellite channels, another DVD player and a wide range of DVDs.
The kitchen
The farmhouse kitchen has been given a brand new design makeover, including a Smeg induction hob and oven, Smeg American double fridge with ice maker, Bosch integrated dishwasher and Nespresso machine, as well as a second fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer in a separate utility room.
Master bedroom on the first floor
The air-conditioned master bedroom in the main house has a super king-size bed and a luxury bathroom with a huge freestanding bath, rain shower, his and hers basins and toilet. There is also a Loaf lounger and footrest for a quiet moment.
Bedroom with bunk beds for children on the first floor
At the other end of the minstrel gallery is the fabulous children's bedroom, also air-conditioned, with four bespoke built-in bunk beds, each with its own reading lamp, a porthole under the steps and a wooden slide to slide down on a cushion. With a curved hobbit-hole style WC with washbasin.
Bedroom 1 on the ground floor
In another wing of the farmhouse, there is a second bedroom with a super king-size bed, French doors to the courtyard and a window to the west-facing terrace. A shower room with double Belfast basins and walk-in shower and a separate WC, shared with bedroom 2, is just off the hallway.
Bedroom 2 on the ground floor
In the same wing is a twin bedroom, with a window overlooking the west-facing terrace.
Pigeonnière
La Pigeonnière has a super king-size bed on the mezzanine floor and a bathroom with a slipper bath, walk-in rain shower and separate toilet. An Invicta wood-burning stove and a Loaf sofa for cosy winter evenings nestle under the stunning exposed beams and mezzanine.
Bread oven
The Bread Oven has an adjoining super king-size bed and rain shower/WC. With a high ceiling and original features, the bread oven is a unique and beautiful room. A pretty round window, high in the gables, casts a beautiful red light into the room at sunset.
Grain Store
Grain Store has a super king size bed, a bedroom with children's bunk beds and a family bathroom with clawfoot bath, walk-in rain shower, his and hers basins and toilet. Underfloor heating/cooling and a Loaf sofa complete this hidden cottage.
