• Commandery of the Knights Templar of Lacapelle-Livron

Attested in 1236, the Commandery dominates the Bonnette valley and the village of Lacapelle-Livron, near Caylus, on the borders of Rouergue and Quercy. What remains is the chapel, now the village church, the two main buildings of the château and the (private) outbuildings. The existing buildings still bear many traces of the history of the Knights Templar, then of their successors, the Knights Hospitallers of Jerusalem, known as the "Rhodes" or "Malta" Knights, who occupied the site until the French Revolution. The church is open to the public all year round, while the other private buildings can be visited during the Heritage Days in June and September.
