The new exhibition "Frères du vent" (Brothers of the Wind) will be presented and inaugurated on 16 May from 6pm in the presence of artist Hélène Rivière. What she paints comes from nature, from the hills of the Plantaurel to the foothills of the Pyrenees or those of the Razès to the mountains. What she paints comes from nature, from the hills of the Plantaurel to the foothills of the Pyrenees or those of the Razès with their scents of thyme, fennel and myrtle, from the rivers of the beautiful Aude, the Sidobre or the Comminges region, from the birds of Montbel or the Causse Méjean, from the rain, the wind, the snow, the forests... and trees, "our big immobile brothers" as Romain Gary called them... However, it's in the studio that the confrontation takes place between the flat, two-dimensional surface of the canvas and all these things that have filled the eye, using only colour and form.
