Hélène Rivière draws her inspiration from nature: hills, rivers, forests and winds permeate her vision and resonate with childhood. In her studio, she doesn't try to copy reality, but to capture its essence through colour and form. Painting thus becomes a quest for truth, a dialogue between sensations and matter. As Nicolas de Staël wrote: "The pictorial space is a wall, but all the birds in the world fly into it from every depth".
