Join in the medieval festivities at Cordes sur Ciel, in the Tarn region, on Friday 11 July for the evening banquet, and on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July 2025 for two days of festivities and entertainment! Musicians, criers, knights, craftsmen and acrobats take to the streets to bring back the vibrant atmosphere of the Middle Ages. Costumed parades, fire shows, concerts, banquets and medieval encampments punctuate three days of rich, festive entertainment for all the family. Young and old alike are invited to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the 13th century, in the heart of one of France's most beautiful villages. Here's the programme:
Friday 11th July
The Fêtes du Grand Fauconnier kicks off in style with an authentic medieval banquet in the majestic Halle de Cordes-sur-Ciel. The caterer "Le Tranchoir", a specialist in dishes inspired by the Middle Ages, will be offering a generous menu of forgotten flavours, in two versions: a meat option and a vegetarian alternative.
This timeless meal is much more than a simple dinner: it's a truly immersive experience. The evening is brought to life by the company "Les Aboyeurs", a trio of colourful troubadours combining music, juggling, bagpipes and offbeat sketches.
Wearing medieval costume is highly recommended to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere.

Saturday 12th July
10am - Festive opening at the market (at the bottom of the town): Turba Musica sets the mood amongst the stalls.
From 11am - Continuous entertainment under the Porte des Ormeaux: Comme des Gosses plays games, sketches and zany interactions.
2.30pm - Vocal concert in the church: Castel Vocalis
10pm - Night parade at the top of the town
Costumed troops, lanterns and a mysterious atmosphere...
11pm - Fire show: the troupe Comme des Gosses sets the town ablaze with humour and pyrotechnics.
Sunday 13th July
2pm - Big fancy dress parade starting from the Place Bouteillerie (at the bottom of the town): With Caminaïre and Turba Musica.
2pm to 6pm - Donkey rides
With L'Âne qui Vole, for children and the curious (at the top of the town).
5pm - Concert in the church with Caminaïre
10pm - Closing concert with Les Compagnons du Gras Jambon
